Pretty Boy

by brie kelly wise   Sep 29, 2007

Growing up in her hands
His passions in life
Are wasting away tonight
The bigger story
Has taken it's toll
I am gone before he follows

Am I wrong?
To believe these lies
After all, he is a pretty boy
Blue eyes cast their shadow
And his hair beneath my fingertips
What am I to do?
To hold his hand this time
After all, he is a pretty boy

I hand in my seasons
And list all of my reasons
I cover up everything in his head
Is this what you take me for?

Am I wrong?
To lie about him like this
After all, he is a pretty boy
Hands hold up all of my feelings
I embrace this feeling
What am I to do?
To love him regardless
After all, he is a pretty boy

This was a poem I had to think about. I like it, and it has a desperate feel about it.

Other than that, don't let a stupid boy control you. Even if he is a pretty boy.
