Broken past repair

Trapped and unwanted, Wounded and hurt
Punctured and bleeding she fell to the dirt

Miserable and suffering, horrified and dying
In the abyss of sorrow is where they found her crying

With courage forgotten and pain beyond belief
The shadows she sulked in brought nothing but grief

The despair he shot through her, but with a single phrase
Dragged her to her knees, stabbed at her for days

Living her nightmares, as they all came to pass
As soon as he let go of her, she shattered like glass

But refusing to be smothered like a dwindling flame
She tried to pretend her heart didntt scream his name

Slowly she stood through the doubt and the fear
Her hollow eyes no more able to release any tears

Her friends think shes better, shes no longer torn in half
But how wrong this assumption , how cruel they can still laugh

For she can never be whole, her heart never fully intact,
The pitiable truth is, she learned how to act.
