My Creation

by Beautiful Chaos   Sep 30, 2007

I can't get high or drunk enough,
To forget the pain I know,
Twist the knife a little further,
Throw me down below.

This is hell, here on earth,
How far could I go?
Ecuador? Sweet solitude,
To wallow in my woe.

Spit your poison in my face,
Burn me like the sun,
But it's what I do to myself,
That can never be undone.

Your words will fade as time moves on,
But scars they stay behind,
To show me all I never was,
Deep inside my mind.

It is I who walks the path,
The choice belongs to me,
All I pull into my life,
Is all I'll ever be.

Lordey, was that ever amazing. The beginning stanza pulled me in right from the start, but the following stanzas kept me in. Once again, the imagery was amazing and the flow was perfect. You made it so personal to you, but relateable for others, a great way to show off your talent.

"Spit your poison in my face,
    Burn me like the sun,
But it's what I do to myself,
    That can never be undone."

    ^^ LOVE this stanza, amazinggg.
