Your Misanthropic Eccentricities

by hippiehxc   Sep 30, 2007

Her insides are screaming, "Let me out!"
As she's facing the corner, blood is all she cries now.
She's self conscious even though she's all alone.
Still she goes on. She intends to get home.

The devil has blinded her with his touch.
He's never happy. He never gets enough.
He's cutting into her chest, but her heart still beats.
She's been waiting to pour it out onto paper. She knows not defeat.

She goes toward the light and leaves the darkness behind.
This is the only chance to leave. The only time.
Save your goodbyes. This won't be the end.
She knew from the beginning that this was just pretend.

There's no reason as to why she stuck around so long.
She knew it wasn't right. She knew it would go wrong.
Now she can see what she's been running from.
These words have always been on the tip of her tongue.

She was under the impression that you felt the same way.
Just save your goodbyes. She's not leaving today.
Roses on her casket isn't a sign that she's gone.
In time you will see that she never left all along.
