FALLEN ANGEL II

by Alicesjourney   Sep 30, 2007

I suddenly forgot to breath, the shock alone was too much to bear.
Could I be this angel she speaks of? Or is this just a vivid nightmare?
What she speaks of does make sense, the pieces do fall into place.
A fallen angel, a human mask, a forgotten past...

The goddess is real for she is sitting before me,
a single tear falls down my cheek, I do not know what I'm spouse to be.
An angel I do not know is inside of me, hidden behind a fog of confusion.
Is she so beautiful she glows? Or is this a mere illusion?
I simply ask, after finding the right words, what she meant.
Her answer was simple, it was short but not quite precise,
She simply said she lost the one she held so dear,
she was abandoned, he flew away and left her here.
This monster she speaks of could not be me, for I can't be so mean.
And what greater cause is there? Shes, without a doubt, the most beautiful creature both in heaven and on earth.

"I do not know his name, I do not know his game,
all I know is that I love him so, and wish I was the reason he had to go."
I wiped a tear that ran down her cheek, and without hesitation I spoke:
"I do not know his name either, I do not know mine,
but he thing that is clear, this angel you speak of is no angel.
If for him there is a greater cause than you, he did not deserve to fly so high.
If I was him, I have to admit, I would have fallen too,
because without you, no wings, no winds, could take me away from you."

I loved this it was very imaginative and your use of language was interesting, though just a tip the lines are so long, some people who perhaps dont like reading too much would probably be too lazy to actualy read it, but they would be missing out. x
