Man of Lies

by DustInTheWind   Sep 30, 2007

A Polaroid in his hand
He studies it intently
The corpse of a girl
Lies on the blood drowned floor

A bulge in her throat
From the deed he had done
Although her throat was cut open
It still remained it's attained shape

A gun inside of her ear
Although there's no more breath
No heart beating
Constantly bleeding

Naked, unpure
Her body lies upon the floor
His camera beside her
Dropped and broken

Shocked
at what he had done
He pulled it out of her ear
And put it to his chin

He breaks down
Crying
He presses the gun into his chin even more
He's slowly dying

Fires nothing
The gun is on safety
He releases the tension and jumps off
The tainted balcony

On the way down
He takes the gun off safety
He takes a shot
To die before impact

People gather round
Look at his dead body
They know not what he did
They think him innocent

He left all this
A wife and kids
A home and a car
But now he's dead

A criminal
He dies
He doesn't deserve to live, he's dead
He's a man of lies

Wow. Great story, try more discriptive maybe? But some poems sound better simply written though...
