Stupid pup

by Vincent Thornsberry   Oct 1, 2007

My mask was ever changing
I never took it off
I would only show you who I was
When we were alone
You tried to show me to your friends
But I hid before they could see
You tried to coax me out of my shell
But it was all so scary
When you got me to the brink
Of being seen by everyone
I bit your hand and made to run
I am sorry for that time
Now you're gone, no longer mine
All those times i barked fiercely
Were not meant to hurt you
Only to serve as warning that I was scared
I know you're hurt and no longer trust me
But show me that you mean no harm
And I'll come along
You may hate me now
And I understand
You may not want me around,
I want to still love you
So coax me back soft and slow
Show me you mean no harm and I will go

God I'm sorry Rin. I can never say how sorry I am. You may not care, but i still do. You may not but I still love you.

First off..awww...second I loved the metaphor of the puppy being skiddish to you and your relationship. The flow was ok but the story was great and sad. I can understand the feeling insecurity. Great job and keep it up.
