What does it mean
Some say blue means to be happy
To others to be sad
It could express how you feel on the inside
Even though you're pretending on the outside
Have you ever been in a room full of people
And felt all alone
Do you feel the tear trickle down your cheek
As you cry yourself to sleep
Have you ever hurt the one you love
Knowing you made them cry
And when you say sorry
It seems not enough
Have you ever felt the pain of an aching heart
Not knowing what to do
Or where to start
Have you ever wanted to scream
Open your mouth, but there's no sound
Or to be screaming at the top of your lungs
But felt like no one's listening
Distance in between, miles apart
Have you ever felt your life would fall apart
If you were to lose your everything
Wishing you could hold them tight
Not ever to let go
The pain is growing deeper as we go
Have you ever stood on the edge going with the flow
Have you ever had the thought
Of how they could possibly love someone like you
And when you cry
They have always been there
To kiss away the tears
How could someone that caused you pain
Love you just the same
If not more
And then you want to question why
How can you be loved when you hate yourself
How can you stop this heart from aching
Feeling like the worst person in the world
When they think you're the sweetest thing
Then you sit there
And think about the good times
As you wonder
Where you would be if you had never met them
