Laying in her bed at night
crying herself to sleep
thinking of just one person to save her life
just as her phone begins to beep
she wipes her tears away
to read the blurry writing
and in a lifting moment
she realizes they're no longer fighting
for a while it plays on her mind
as she decides what to say
but then the tears come back
as she relives when she had asked him to stay
