Two Teachers

by Spirit   Oct 1, 2007

He taught me faith,
you taught me pain.
You showed me hopelessness,
he kept me sane.

You showed me hate,
he showed me love.
You live in hell,
he lives up above.

He taught me kindness,
you taught me doubt.
When you showed me noise
silence would drown it out.

He taught me faith,
you taught me pain.
When you taught me hopelessness,
he kept me sane.

Excellent I must... very unique and very creative... I liked the way you have described the two opposite things so wonderfully...

thats reality of life... we always meet people who can show us two opposite sides...

    wonderfully written...
    keep writing...

I like the contrast of both teachers,
    the flow was great
makes the reader feel torn, not shure waether to be happy for the teachings of one teacher, or sad for the teachings of another, lol

    this was really good

This was almost probably the best poem out of all the ones I wrote so far. It's amazing how two people can teach you the opposites of things. I loved this poem soo much. It was very interesting to hear how these two people tought you differently. The repeating of the first stanza as your last was amazing. I loved that unique twist. :)

    Great work, 5/5.
