Drinker

by Devon lansdown   Oct 1, 2007

If only you could see yourselves
and see the things i see
its selfish but with every gulp
i no what the night will hold for me
a life of problems for me to hear
a time to listen in silence
the times you've fought and argued
and filled our house with violence
the nights Ive stayed awake
to comfort a drunken you
sat outside the bathroom
scared of what you'll do
and now another drinker
she follows in your path
no longer a quiet peaceful drink
no longer is it a laugh
to me your both lost causes
Ive said all i can say
all i can do is wait and learn
so i don't turn out your way
