Proven Wrong

by mmHmm   Oct 2, 2007

Sedated by your smooth talking lies
pr oven wrong by thinking your black heart wouldn't dare to make me cry
being an expert in playing hearts. you move on and then we part
devastated for consuming so many hours dreaming of your face
shattered and broken and put back into my place
who was i or anyone to believe that you could be
an imaginary hero sent to capture and rescue me
sick and tired of being played by liars
of countless words promising me there was no one higher
prayed every night to find a someone
guess answered prayers can be mistaken for trials
so far apart and so many miles counted our distance
but i stayed faithful, true, and longing for you
while you were rapidly forgetting me
i wrote the letters-but you never called-long distance don't come free
how utterly stupid i feel
that i unlocked my heart, opened it up, and exposed myself to find out that your truly not real
people get scared and I hope that you see
that you're in reality never going to again have someone as true as me
I'll get over it and I'll come out strong
and I'll be living in our past- thinking of our song
I"ll be forgetting your face
while your sorry for your mistakes
