This is really good, i like the imagery, the paper and razor blades, the ash and closing doors, so compelling.

How I have missed reading your poetry. What a sad piece. Brings tears to the eyes.

For all this prose can no longer be imaginary,
It's the life in which I live,
    Death almost seems the present,
I wish for you to give.

These lines really touched my heart.
    Take care
    Love Cindy

So sad....to lose one and be left with only memories...this is a very moving piece....the emotion and longing are evident in every verse...

"So slowly I turn to ash,
The cold black winter even turns away,
I used to be my own protection,
But not now as night becomes day,"

^ This is excellent.....the "ash" of a spent relationship....love the Winter metaphor....

Really enjoyed this heartfelt and beautiful poem from you....take care, Debbie
