If You Only Knew

So many things I'd like to tell you,
But I don't know where I'd start,
So many feelings I have hidden,
Deep inside my heart.

I don't have the courage to tell you,
Cuz I'd fear you'd walk away,
But if I were to express myself,
Here are some things I'd say...

I'd tell you I think you're sweet,
And you're someone I adore,
I'd say I love being your friend,
Yet, I want so much more.

I'd tell you I think you're kind,
Loving, pretty, and smart,
I'd tell you I think of you constantly,
Whenever we're apart.

I'd tell you you're in my dreams,
All throughout the night,
I'd tell you my heart beats very fast,
Whenever you're in sight.

I'd tell you no matter what,
It's you that's on my mind,
I'd tell you my secret wish,
Is for our hands to be combined.

I'd tell you I try to talk to you,
Every chance I get,
I'd tell you I will always remember,
The first day that we met.

I'd tell you the first time I saw you,
I didn't think I'd get a crush,
I'd tell you that now when you look at me,
You always make me blush.

I'd tell you that you make me feel good,
About who I am and wanna be,
I'd tell you that if my heart were a lock,
You'd be the one to hold the key.

I'd tell you I spend my time,
Just thinking about you,
I'd tell you I always wonder what you're doing,
Or if you're thinking of me, too.

I'd tell you I want to be more than a friend,
But I know that would be wrong,
I'd tell you I cannot understand,
Why these feelings are so strong.

I'd tell you I want to hold you,
And never let you go,
I'd tell you that as the days go on,
These feelings seem to grow.

I'd tell you that when I look at you,
A smile forms upon my face,
I'd tell you that in my heart,
You'll always have a special place.

I'd tell you that if you read this poem,
You'll see why I feel the way I do,
I'd tell you that then you'd understand,
That I fell in love with you.
