Irrevocable Freedom

by Joe Tilly   Oct 2, 2007

Pacing like the Leopard to and fro in my cage,
pleading with the Holy Spirit to quench my rage.
The fire within me scribbled on a page,
I posses more demons than any soul my age.
The clock's hands are turning with inverted direction,
my doom is realized with perverted perfection.
My life's consequences constant regardless of selection;
from my nature I need restraint, I need God's protection.
I see a stranger in the mirror, no longer who I am,
only one can make me whole, by the blood of the lamb.
So now I choose to serve Him, beyond my last breath,
I may be opposed, accused or threatened with death.
I've made mistakes of fear and hate, I'll not repeat 'em.
I have irrevocable life and joy, irrevocable freedom.
My Lord and my God, and the law of Love,
have filled me with light and a mission, far above
any forces that'll try to offer resistance.
By reflecting God's Love, and the word with persistence,
I bring my brothers to the saving knowledge
of His existence.
