Wicked Words

by DaddysLittleDefect   Oct 3, 2007

Those are some wicked words you use to hurt,
and those decadent taunts with which you flirt.
Standing watching time pass as you grow cold,
believing the lies to me you had sold.

Until you weren't the boy for whom I cared.
To a heartless being my soul was bared.
You used your wicked words to cause me harm.
You tore through the armor I thought I had worn.

Subconsciously growing, shutting me out.
A cycle of false truth, worry and doubt.
Pulling away from what causes me hurt,
'til I'm safe from you and your wicked words.

I liked this...emotional and heartfelt, with a real meaning behind the words.
Flow, imagery and wording were all nicely done. Beautifully and elegantly written.
