Blood Canticle

Blood Canticle
By My Decadent

A black wind took you away that night,
And my inside started changing
As I stranded away from divine light -
Another angel to a demon fading.

*

As the days darken around me, and the years
Veil my life with their burden of gloom,
Trying to hide emotions, but can't hold back tears
I just stand here weeping at your tomb.

Mutilated pain pierces through my heart
As your memory is still carved within me;
There's no more light to end this endless dark -
I feel drowned into cold obscurity.

**

Rememberance of days in which we were together
Resuscitates my nubming heart for a moment;
I think back to when we said "love forever"
As I slowly drift away in my lament.

I swore for revenge and spit in Death's face;
Threatened he will pay with his own black blood
For taking you away from my tight embrace
And staining my inside with hatred and mud.

*

A black wind took you away that night,
And my inside bled with excruciating pain;
And I slid into the darkness of blight
Singing a blood canticle under numbing rain...

Forever love,
Your Decadent.

    This poem was also very good, 3rd I';ve read of yours so far.
    I don't have anything new to say than the other comments I've left for praise, so I'm going to provide a bit of critism.
    This peom was beautifully written, but there was something about it that couldn't quite hold my attention as well as the other two.
    Also, I've noticed you have the same tendensy I do, that you pick a style/flow and write everything following it (like I said, I've only read three, could be wrong). Although I must admit, it works really well for you.
