Stars Burning out like laterns in the sky

by Byron   Oct 3, 2007

The stars hold nothing but the truth of the night
A sea of loneliness engulfs starving eyes
That place hope and reassurance in the dark dead sky
Distill the anguish in measurements far beyond comprehension
Let the thought of destruction flow fluent through the veins,
Over power the heart,
Take over the brain
Each word spoken seems darker than before
Each reason to breathe, has become an adequate reason to drown
It's too dense to see
Too hard to sleep
When your eyes see nothing like before
Hands warmth touch is distant and cold
Beauty is dead and hatred seeps in
No smile will break the concrete frown constructed to the face
A Permanent reminder that light will fade
That life wilts away
