Goodbye

by Johanna   Oct 3, 2007

You said goodbye, I need to do this. It's a very big risk that I'm willing to take.
But don't waste your tears, I will be back.
I will sit beside you before you know I'm gone.
I'll do all the things that I have to do. Then I will be back and I'll kiss you hello.
That's the last thing you said. Then you kissed me goodbye and you walked out the door just to never return.

Now I'm sitting here, and all that is left are pictures of the time that we have spent.
Together as one, we've been through it all. Now I have to face the rest all alone.
Because you went away, but I'm proud to say; that you died for your country with honor and pride.

But you're not alone, there are others like you. They fight for our rights to live and be free. They make an attempt to save this world. But it's too long lost and you pay with your lives.
I know this, I know it to well. I wish I didn't so that I could lay, there in your arms. Safe as could be.
And you whisper to me: baby I'll never leave.

Now I'm sitting here, and all that is left are pictures of the time that we have spent.
Together as one, we've been through it all. Now I have to face the rest all alone.
Because you went away, but I'm proud to say; that you died for your country with honor and pride.
