This demon has taken you,
Taken you from me,
The sweet taste of liquid death,
Drenching your lips,
Consuming your palate.

It has become your love,
No remorse for what you have left behind,
Your reality knows no shame.

This craving and want,
You try to disguise as a need,
Guided by the devils hands,
You walk into darkness,
As though it were always your home,
But I saw your light.

Eyes that shone like destiny,
Beckoning me to drown in their waters,
Love once lived there.

Now you drag it into this hell,
A hell which is keeping you content,
Happiness from emptiness,
I could never know such a thing.

To embrace nothing,
To care for nothing,
To walk away from everything,
For nothing.

What you run from will be there,
No matter what you drown your soul in,
Even in your moment of death,
You will think of all you held,
All you left.

Will you waste it all?
All that was,
All that is,
All that could be,
Because you can not face your own fears.

For fear of all things,
Nothing but a shiver in your soul,
A moment of "what if?"

Because you can not have you,
No one will have you,
You will run from love,
Though it is what you want,
And drown yourself in this paradise of poison,
I mourn for such thoughts.
