28 + 6

by Janette Bradley   Oct 3, 2007

Alone I sit, looking at this monitor,
Yet I am not alone.
I feel you, I know you,
I want you, I need you.

A grainy picture, is all of you,
That I have seen.
The beatings, are all I have felt of you
On the inside.
Yet I know this,
I love you.

I have never held you.
I have never looked upon you.
I have never heard your voice.
Yet I already know this,
My precious unborn child.
I would die for you,
Because the one thing
I cannot deny,
Is the one thing I already possess,
A mother's love.
