The truth of the fact isn't that long distance relationships don't last, it's that the chances are so slim. In our society we tend to mistake sexual lust for love. Whether it be with the person at a distance, or with someone else while we're alone. In general I find nothing wrong with the natural assumption made by others that your relationship won't work when one in two marriages here in the states ends in divorce. Why should we have more faith in you? Good luck, love is what you make it.
