The Knife

Bleeding wrists on my hurting arm
once again I made myself bleed
this is my life, this is my self-harm
and pain is what I need

When I cut, I release my frustrations
I bleed my blood out like tears
some call it SI and self-mutilation
but I do it to get rid of my fears

Every time I'm sad I take out my blade
and I cut myself so deep
and when I see the cuts I've made
I regret the scars I get to keep

I wish that I didn't have to hide
I really wish that I could tell you
but my pain remains inside
and you will never know what I do
