The Real Me

by Sapphire   Oct 4, 2007

Do you see me?
Do you really see me?
Ever?

Can you tell me
what makes me angry?
Can you tell me
what makes me cry?
Can you tell me
how far I can go before I break?
Then you know nothing, don't you?

Don't tell me you know me like a book
Cause you don't
I won't let you ever read me
unless I know I can trust you,
not to tear my pages.

When you see,
what I really am,
Please don't run away,
cause I trusted you.
And I let my walls fall down.

To stay away
or come close
Its up to you now

If you really want to see
The Real Me.....

Only issue I see is this stanza:
    When you see of
    what I really am,
    Please don't run away,
    cause I trusted you.
And I let me walls fall down.

In the last line I'm assuming you meant my not me...? And the first line confuses me, otherwise this poem was really really good.

I loved how you started out using all questions and then started talking.

My FAVORITE part was definately third stanza, the reference to a book. Awesome is all I have to say about that.
