Wow... breathtaking! Whole poem is great, i like every line, you picked unique topic and wrote truly incredible piece. I like unusual yet so beautiful imagery that you created. The ending is so effective. I just can't pick my favorite part of the poem, whole piece is so compact and great.

Melissa, it has been a while since I have read a poem of yours, but it is no less incredible than all the others. The imagery is simply amazing, and the last few lines blew me away. An excellent conclusion to an excellent poem!

if fall had a heart,
to whom would it belong
(a fallen leaf,
the moon's cycloptic eye,
or perhaps someone of human descent)
