My Haven

by A Victim of Fate   Oct 4, 2007

The rain wets my hair
Carressing my face with such care.
The trees whisper a sweet lullaby,
In voices of low and of high.
The critters go about their business,
Running past me without assistance.
The wind whispers its secrets,
And I tell them my regrets.
A rainbow paints the sky,
Then the forest comes alive.
You come then majaestic and coy,
Oh but how you bring us such joy.
The forest seems to whisper your name,
I do the same.
Never ever has someone entered my heart,
But hear you are already tearing it apart.
I know you love me,
That is plain to see.
But the truth is I can't leave,
Though you always have something up your sleeve.
Warm arms wrap around me and I know its you,
Eventually I wrap my arms around you too.
You whisper comfort singing with the wind,
I truly believe you are a heaven send.
I don't see why you feel the way you do,
But here in the leaves and earthy scent I feel brand new.
I don't care now,
Let the heavens bow.
You love me,
One plus one equals three.
