Blind Depression

by Hear You Me   Oct 4, 2007

If you were to wake tomorrow,
And the sky's been burned to black,
Lay your head back on your pillow,
Let your dreams show what you lack,

Rainbows will lift your burdens,
As gold clouds take you high,
The sun will show what you're missing,
When the soft winds waste your sighs,

If you woke up tomorrow,
And wished you were still asleep,
A bolt of thunder would crash upon you,
And put you in slumber deep,

This nightmare would convey,
The worst that life could be;
Hunger, Torture, War and Pain,
Abuse, Isolation and Misery.

I'm not saying it's wrong to hurt,
It's definitely not wrong to cry,
But the next time you feel despair,
Go ahead, and ask yourself 'why?',

If you woke up tomorrow,
Depression throbbing through your mind,
Tell yourself you may be normal,
But also that you're blind.
