Melted My Heart

Fingers warm and brushing against my hand,
I've found everything I need; your eyes are my promised land.
A breath of fresh air in this school when I see your smiling face,
You're the best thing that's ever come out of this place.

Frowns diminish quickly when I read your words,
You make me so happy that I cry- isn't that absurd?
But your eyes twinkle so perfectly when they look at me,
Haven't you realized that you're the only one I could ever see?

You want some time, and I do too
I'd cross a galaxy and wait a million years, just for you.
You stole my heart and melted it with a poem and a smile,
Your laugh alone makes every thing in life seem so worthwhile.

You're my first thought each waking day,

You make me happier than I've ever felt in my life,
Now I no longer even have a proper excuse to cry!

Don't ever say goodbye?
