The Key

by Janette Bradley   Oct 4, 2007

I look around me,
And I am lost.
So for the key,
Search for it, I must.

I hold out
My hand to thee
Which I was without
Next to me, you sit, my key.

I offer unto you
The hand of friendship.
Your blood, in my veins, runs true.
Will you accept me,
Or will the fabric of my soul rip?

Before an adult, I became,
Together we overcame
Any obstacle. Now
To the world, I bow.

The pressure building,
My hunt for you, my key, un-yielding.
One day, my hand, will you take?
And together, the obstacles, we will break.
