Running From The Truth

by mathew   Oct 5, 2007

Here i lay,
swimming in thoughts and tears,
sitting in denial,
waiting for my parents to shout,
your girlfriends here,
deep down i know that won't come,
but i lie to myself,
through the restless nights and days,
i slowly realize,
days into weeks,
weeks into months,
months into years,
that call will never come,
although my heart broken,
i still await her return,
completely out of touch,
reality slips away,
i love her too much.

    I really enjoyed this poem!
you captured all te emotions of denial and how eveything in your mind is avoiding the truth of reality.
