Still hurting

Hiding from the world,
hoping they don't see me,
cause when they do,
it will start all over again.

I grew up getting hurt,
they still follow me everywhere I go,
after all these years,
they still keep dragging me down,

I can't move on,
I can't walk away,
cause when I do,
they follow me anyway.

Walking along this path,
Wondering what I've done,
what could be so bad,
that they keep hurting me.

I tried to stay strong,
I tried to fight,
but they took everything,
I might as well give up.
