If Roses Were Red...

If roses were red,
And violets were blue.
We'd be together.
I with you.

But the world is not perfect.
And colors do fade.
Into the darkness,
Of each passing day.

And flowers they wilt,
As time passes by.
Leave nothing,
Not even a memory behind.

But there is a dawn,
An awakening light.
To bring back the colors,
Destroying the night.

And so I will wait,
In this darkness for you.
Waiting for the roses to turn red,
And the violets to turn blue.
