Life As A Rose

by musiqlover015   Oct 5, 2007

The beauty of life is like that of a rose
When one is given this crimson beauty
No threat to him shall it impose
For the thorns are unseen
And the thistles unfelt
For no more than of love
Does this symbol seem to mean
But what happens when the stem is unveiled
What becomes of this rose
When it is no longer to the lover just a rose
But a burden revealed
It is so life can be
Appealing to the eye
Just senseless beauty
But once the veil is removed
And the thorns revealed
What meaning does life have to us now?
What is the rose worth to its admirer
When its freshness fades away ?
What meaning does life have to us
When the shadows of the thorns
Have overcasted upon its beauty

I think that you have yet again, left an impression.
I defenatly think that you are a talented person!
I love that you have not made it a "person thing" but a "rose thing" to make a point. I like it!

    thanks,
