The Empty World

by Choose xX Alex Xx Life   Oct 6, 2007

'A smile means nothing',
Well thats what THEY say,
A step out of normality,
People around have to face.

No logical explanation;
Why he was born like this.
Irrational, unexplainable behavior
When his routine is messed.

His routine, his precious cycle,
Which controls his pain.
But the thing about this is,
The world I'd give for him to remain.

He's passionate, adorable,
The most pleasant of children.
Greets you with a kiss in his presence,
Smiles and laughs around the fighting.

A heart as soft as feathers,
A mind and soul of an angel,
supposedly no emotions.
But when hurt, this boy is fragile.

If the reader hasn't already figured,
My brothers autism is a treasure,
I cherish each and every moment,
For he brings nothing to the world but pleasure.

(1 in 5000) children have autism, I consider it a blessing rather than a disability.
