Protest poem

by Kyle   Oct 6, 2007

Hands raised in the air,
together we stand for whats fair.
no more lies, no more false accusations,
our taxpaying money the government is wasting.
they sell war as peace,
to fight in the middle east.
to fill the pockets of the rich and ignorant,
making money off peoples torment.

No more!! lets make our stand,
raise our fists and hands,
scream and shout for reason and peace,
its time our voices be heard

people dying, wheres the love?
our presidents lying.
liberation, justice, democracy are the words wrongfully used by this decietful administration,
where's the progress? we've been patiently waiting!
childrens blood and fallen innocennce are prices of freedom?
how are the people suppose to redeem them?
don't you dare tell me i'm unpatriotic,
with all the crap going on, everythings chaotic.
two wrong sides wanting to be right,
while the suffering continues in the lives of people from this fight.
no more war, lets feed the poor.
no more deceased, lets bring love and peace!

raise your hands and pump your fists,
for peace we march and resist.
its time to protest and let our voices be heard,
lets scream and shout every word.
enough is enough, lets stand tough.
united we be heard, all them rich fat a.s.sholes will hear every word.....

i'm tired of this war, we have the president and the terrorists. both wrong yet they wanna be right. people are sick of this. call me hippie, call me unpatriotic, call me a coward, i stand strong for my beliefs.

Your passion is so obvious! if only more people would say how they truly feel, and if only people would listen! war is not the answer it only leaves questions. really well written, fight for whats right!

Needless to say, many people feel this way. I know I do. You show truth without fault here and it just flows so magnificently! 5/5
