In the end it was me who let you go,
something I was dreading from the start.
You cared for me when I couldnt even care for myself. You showed me that there was more to life
then what was in the pages of a book.
I believed in fairytales and happy endings
and that nothing could go wrong,
but you showed me other wise.
In a way it was both a blessing and a curse.
Realizing that there was no such thing as a perfect rose and that there will always be thorns among them seemed more then I could handle but it was the truth.
In the end I let you go, why I dont know.
I was foolish and I fell to fast for someone
who was nothing more then a thorn in my vase of roses.
Now I see what I screwed up.
You were always there
but my heart was too blind to see.
Because of my stupidity,
I not only hurt myself
but someone I care for more then life itself.
I left you without a reason to say
and for that I am truly sorry.
