Friends Now

by x Mo x   Oct 7, 2007

Once upon a time in a small town
Lived a little girl with a permanent frown.
Five blocks away lived a young boy.
He was overfilled with joy.

Boredom with a friend, caused a terrible mistake.
The young boy and his friend gave the girl more than she could take.
Verbally beating her, thrashing her heart,
Each word a piercing, vile dart.

Upon seeing her tears, the boys stopped their fun.
After hours of pain and torture, they were done.
Leaving her in tears, pain, and sorrow,
The young boys tried to make amends before the morrow.

With a heart pure and true,
There was no doubt of what the young girl would do.
She accepted what they said, and let them go.
She ended her tears, stopped their flow.

With thoughts of never speaking to them again,
The young boys matured into young men,
The young girl grew in mind and heart.
Repairing all holes caused by fiery darts.

Six months later was enough time
To let the friendship glow and shine.
The two teenagers now best friends
With a love that never ends.

In only six months enemies became friends,
Here our story now comes to an end.
For the two are forever in love,
Thanks to the great Lord above.
