You told me that you loved me.
You told me that you cared.
I told you all my secrets.
I shared all that I dared.

You told me that You'd help me.
You said you'd never let me down.
When I was scared you took away my fears.
When I was sad you turned my frown back around.

Being with you was amazing.
You always knew just what to say.
It was wonderful when you helped me.
You knew how to brighten my day.

What went wrong between us?
What happened to those times?
I miss that love from you, 'cause
Not the sun ins't as bright when it shines.
