Mommy Where Were You?

by Alexandra Jade Brewer   Oct 7, 2007

Mommy where are you?
When I need you most
I'll continue searching
From coast to coast

Mommy where are you?
To help guide my way
To take me on the right path
So to far I don't stray

Mommy where are you?
When Daddy can't be there
Because he doesn't understand
So out tempers flare

Mommy where are you?
When something goes wrong
When I'm afraid of darkness
And need to hear a comforting song

Mommy where are you?
When that nightmares in sight
And for two long weeks
Every nights a constant fight

Mommy where are you?
When theres a special day
Like graduation or a concert
And you seem so far away

Mommy where were you?
When the tears clouded my eyes
When I suffered at your funeral
Under dark grey skies

...Mommy where are you
When I need to know what to do?
