I'm A Big Kid Now

by uppercase   Oct 7, 2007

I've set the time to midnight, the final show down is going to be screaming your imagination out of the water.
I don't bother myself with goodbye kisses; they're just another get-well card addressed with your address.
Just so we don't get mixed up who this is about; I've found an unbalanced equation that your mathematics couldn't really solve.
Why don't you just graph the next plot into where we're going? I'm sure there will be a recursion formula.
Plotting this doesn't decay or decrease, it goes down the solid line that is labeled zero.
Stationary is where all complimentary melancholy words will end up.
If I failed to mention that my knees are broken; then h'm just giving you a tall tale.
I can walk just fine with one leg, I've got a spare for a reason.
Coloring books weren't ever your specialty; every time you tried to draw in between the lines you'd always have your crayons marked upon me.
Some where crimson red, others were colors that never clashed with my pale skin, black and blue where two major colors.
The heart wasn't red or black it was yellow and green, but with each line broken by wax I've suggested to make another heart.
I've sustained negative colors entering our oblique sheet of paper, and to think stick figures could have true colors.
Just because you want to color on the next sheet, doesn't mean you've neglected to remember this other sheet wasn't done.
You shouldn't of written down your next moves because I've been caught reading over someones shoulder.
Being physically mature doesn't mirror yourself from maturity in your decisions, you just look for the answers in the back.
Connecting the dots couldn't of been so tedious if there wasn't so many numbers, I guess that's the reason this doesn't add up.
We all know ridiculous variables aren't' worthy to being solved, I'm just going to let you jump in between Kindergarten and Algebra three.
I swear you'll never have to turn back the page, I've stapled all possibilities for you to go back.
You haven't found the difference between fiction and non-fiction, maybe you were lying when you said you were on the same page with me.
I've been stuck in a circle trying to find a corner where you said you left the key, I guess you're not the only one prepared for geometry either.
Never have I seen such a weak triangle, but each line wasn't drawn with a straight edge, eye-balling it was good enough for you.
Got all your materials to jump to and fro? You better get on the bus because all the seniors are driving off in their cars.

I just love it how you play words.
    Puns are just so.. necessary.
    Loved the 'theme' of mathematics.
It was a very interesting and relevant choice.
The spelling could be fixed in some places..
but don't bother yourself too much on it.
    An amazing write, Philly.
