Some Kind of Monster

by Devon   Oct 8, 2007

As the merciful melodies of 12 clock ticks,
The night screamed, silently...

No footsteps,
No shadows,
Not even a sound.

Glaring through all the windows,
As I stalk across the forbidden street.

Rhythms of the darkness tempoed,
As I dance to the deadly night.

The moon smiled upon me,
As I laugh back at humanity, evilly.

Children cries,
Parents pray,
My name echoes through fear.

For over centuries I lived,
No one has seen my face.

For eternity,
The night, I hunt.
For eternity,
The curse, I carry.
