Never Will I Break

by Jenni Marie   Oct 8, 2007

Beaten, bullied, pushed to the ground
Heartache, misery, all that I've found
Searching for help that never came
Each day like the last, always the same

Laughed at, taunted, constantly abused
Soul broken, battered, completely confused
Bruises, scars, showing I'd been neglected
In my eyes, misery was reflected

Deserted, forgotten, left all on my own
Living in war, that was supposed to be home
Hoping for a change, but always like before
Realizing no one was left, nowhere to go

Beaten, bullied, pushed to the ground
Heartache, misery, all that I've found
Searching for help that never came
Each day like the last, always the same

Until one day, realization finally hit me
Kind of surprised, that it took so long to see
All along they were wrong, and I was right
Decision made, not to go down without a fight

Focusing again, on all of my hopes and dreams
I was better than them, and always had been
Determined to show them, I was a shining star
Gonna reach high in life, and make it far

Beaten, bullied, pushed to the ground
Heartache, misery, all that I've found
Searching for help that never came
Each day like the last, always the same

I'll overcome anything and everything
Nothing they can throw, that I can't take
Finally learned that I'm so much stronger
Refuse to back down, or to ever break
