A Funeral Romance

by La Muse Angelique   Oct 8, 2007

A laugh and a tear
The last memory consumed in the mind
Demise of a self destructive soul
His body obtained by the living

Displayed now as an final goodbye
Cold blueish veins can be seen
Captured by uncomfortable feelings
The warm sauer tear slowly finds his place on the cold hard ground

Funeral mourners with their umbrella's all around
But I stand out in my white wedding dress
Your ring once given on a blissful day, is in the place where it should be

Just how I realize how beautiful your pale face is
The darkness strikes again, very fateful
Have to let you go, carrying your casket into the floor
We did not get the chance to say our wedding vows
But today I say ''yes I do''

Incredible. Imagery was so powerful in this. And the idea, ahh, just so unique. I love the title, but could wait for this kind of inside. Also, the sad emotions where captured perfectly. This poem literally blew me away!

Hmmm very unique poem.. you say some of your poems are true, some not.. I find it's hard to fake feelings like the one's in this peice. Just an excellent, emotional work of art. This is the kind of poetry I like to see. 5/5 from me and keep writing! - John :)

Such an emotional piece. I could really imagine all of that happening, with such sad and sombre people. It was an unexpected ending, and I like the imagery you made with her standing out in her wedding dress amongst all the black.
    Well done.
