I miss my days of Jonquiere,
So many times I wish I was still there.
I met so many wonderful friends,
The scars from leaving them will never mend.
The rooms may have been small,
And the required activities no fun at all,
But when I was hanging with my crazy amies,
Every night was a joke and carefree as the breeze.
The food was often puke-worthy,
And instead of class's you'd rather be free,
But the free concerts in centre-ville were awesome,
Even if none of your friends would come.
There was way too many girls and not enough boys,
But everyone played with each other as if they were toys.
Ami-Secret was a hilarious time,
Many would dress up or sing a rhyme.
Quebec songs soon came into everyone's heads,
As well as locals sneaking into people's beds.
So many people ignored the all french rule,
And it seemed getting an advertisement was almost cool.
I remember meeting some interesting locals,
Like a gay guy and people who needed help with their vocals.
I know now there is a big difference between Quebec and France,
When I'd make a mistake my teacher would make fun and do a prissy dance.
There was a couple cool games like loup-garou,
And the swimming almost everyday was lots of fun too.
There was a lot of trips you could attend,
I only went on two but they were fun with no end.
My friends and I threw a watermelon off the 10th floor,
I had wanted to do that since I walked into the grocery store.
We also played with a broken tap in the bathroom.
We almost pissed ourselves laughing more then 10 times, I'd assume.
A lot of the guys who were there acted a little gay,
But we were all weird girls who found it both hot and ok.
There was so many good inside jokes and funny quotes,
I had to write them in a book with little side notes.
The times I said goodbye were the hardest I have had,
Those last few days the entire CEGEP was sad.
I cried and held hands with my friends in the rain,
Who I knew I had little chance of seeing again.
I sit here now and remember Jonquiere,
The heartache I feel is almost too much to bear.
I just need to say this to everyone,
I miss the CEGEP where I had so much fun.
