Lone Luncher

by Mrs Sparrow   Oct 8, 2007

I sit at lunch minding my own
Preferring those solitary days to be alone
'Do you mind if I sit?' A South African voice would say
Oh please shove off I'd hope and pray
'Of course' I reply not wanting to be rude
Lets hope he is not like the others and be to crude.

I sit at lunch minding my own
Preferring to think and plan my home
'Do you mind if I sit?' A South African voice would say
Oh please not again 'ok you may'
Questions of our live and journeys each have taken
I wonder if I could have been mistaken?

I sit at lunch minding my own
Preferring to worry about my bank loan
'Do you mind is I sit?' A South African voice would say
Oh yes! You should! 'Sure!' I say
Talk of London, the hole in the wall
Excited I know we will have a jolly good ball!

I sit at lunch minding my own but this time I am not alone
Preferring the company of my friend and his South African tone!
