Shallow

by Kayla Kay   Oct 9, 2007

Drown yourself
In conceited sorrow
Your concerns
Can be so shallow

Your blood's too thin
It won't stain
The cut's not deep
But you complain

Fake a cry
Crave attention
Hide the truth
You've failed to mention

Pour your soul
Into strangers hands
Pretend complications
That you'll never understand

Dry your eyes
From tears of vain
Your heart is hollow
You can't feel pain

Drown yourself
In conceited sorrow
I never thought
You could be so shallow.

    Excellent!

    Really great!

    My fave lines..

    Fake a cry
    Crave attention
    Hide the truth
    You've failed to mention

    Pour your soul
    Into strangers hands
    Pretend complications
    That you'll never understand

I like the simplicity of it, and the realism and metaphors you use!

    Great piece!

    Keep it up!
