God's Sun and his Blessed People

by Seeker of Truth   Oct 9, 2007

A face, a parade, a magical thing,
Don't do this, don't do that, or Hellfire you'll bring.
For what is it really, that incurs god's wrath:
Not listening to others, or naming him in your bloodbaths?

What we are told, that sin is real,
A thing of great evil, don't lie, don't cheat, don't steal.
But what if I told you, Life isn't meant for blight,
It's a time to celebrate what's real and what's right.

Truth is knocking, it's here to bring joy,
Rather than fear, though hell is a toy.
Too afraid to open the door, you cower,
god wouldn't want you to smell the flowers.

It's obvious, it's everywhere, it's right in your face,
Yet you cling to a book, a story, a pray for god's grace.
When will we humans finally see,
The answer is inside, it starts with "me".

So gather together, let the sun rest,
Now we are facing our greatest test.
A flutter, a heartbeat, a blink of the eye,
Is all it will take for us to block out the sky,
And the son we worship so reverently.
