Hold My Hand

by XJulesX   May 5, 2004

I look into the mirror,
and I don't see my reflection.

I reach my hand out to hold yours,
to get some attention.

I slip from my grip,
but I land on nothing.

I keep on falling,
I fall right on through.

I keep falling for you,
because I never want to let go.

I will never give up,
there is too much that I know.

I stop falling,
and wait for you.

I wait for you,
for you to land.

I wait for you,
so I can hold your hand.

You brought me back up,
so I can stand.

I just want to hold your hand,
you are my grip - you keep me up.

I never want to slip,
so let me hold your hand.

I look into the mirror again,
and because of you,
I can see my reflection.

Don't let go of my hand,
or else I'll fall again.

Well guess what,
I guess it's too late.
You let go of my hand,
was this the right fate?

This is dedicated to Tyler.

Very good rhythm on this poem, it made reading it very easy. The emotions involved were something I could relate to, and that made it easy to read as well. Good poem all around.
