Of All My Fears.

by Phantasmagoria   Oct 9, 2007

A gaping wound, torrent of blood
spilling out the purest regret
reminder of moments of failure
making happiness so easy to forget
let it drift away, curling like smoke,
the misery fleeing with every breath,
releasing the pain held too dear.
Let go of life to welcome Death.
My mind cradles the bullet
as Death rocks me to everlasting sleep.
Now, the present washes out the past
losing me in abyss, the darkness deep.
Finally, my fears catch in my throat,
they suffocate me softly, bring me to the end
bring me to the bitter realization;
I've died alone --bled to my grave from cuts too deep to mend.
