His joy, his happiness, his little girl

by catalina   Oct 10, 2007

He saw the twinkle in her eyes
and suddenly he promised
that his love for her
went beyond the skies

to hold this baby in his arms
was a feeling in his heart
this baby was his little girl
and his love's never far apart

they began each day
with a simple, melodic song
in remembrance
of his wife, her mother
the moment never lasted long

the years came and passed
their good times never did last
like the moments they saw one other
her dad was growing to be her brother

one day she took the wrong path
she snuck out and lied
there was no turning back
her father cried and cried

she was dying and sick
lonely and suffering
because of one nasty trick
she was leaving, alone...

he remembered holding this baby girl
in his arms
there was a strong feeling in his heart
she was his little girl
his love's never far apart...
